Creating Possibility for Belief

When you start to make changes in your life like setting a goal and creating the life you want to be living, you have to believe that what you want is possible. If you don’t think it’s possible or if you don’t think you can have what you want, you aren’t going to be taking the action you need to take to get it.

There are three stages of belief. The first stage is impossibility. Then there’s possibility, and lastly, inevitability.

When you are in impossibility, you aren’t doing anything about it. Maybe you have this dream of making an extra ten thousand dollars in your business this year. You want to pay off debt and take your family on vacation. It sounds so dreamy and so fun, but when you think about actually making the money, your brain shuts down.

You tell yourself, that’ll never happen. There’s no way you could make that much money. You should just be content with what you have. You shouldn’t want more. You could never do it anyway.

Nothing has gone wrong here. This is just your brain in impossibility. If you are here, what you need to do is to just be aware.

Recognize that your brain wants you to believe it’s impossible and it wants you to stay in impossibility because staying here is easier than going out and making money.

Become aware of what your brain is doing.

After you have awareness, you can begin talking to yourself and shifting what you believe is possible for you.

You do this by making suggestions. You ask yourself questions like, If it was possible, what would that be like? It’s possible that someone has made $10k selling what I sell. It’s possible that stay at home moms can make money.

You can be happy with what you have and want more. Wanting more from abundance (like we talked about last week) means that when you make the $10 grand, your life isn’t going to be better than it is right now.

Your life is amazing right now, and it’s going to be amazing when you make the $10k. What if you could do it? What if it was possible for you?

When you are in the stage of possibility, your brain is going to want to go to the how. It’s going to want to know exactly HOW you’re going to make the $10 grand. DO NOT let your brain go there.

You will not know how you made the $10 grand until you make it. Trying to figure out the how is going to put you back in impossibility.

When you are in possibility, you want to stay in possibility. You’ve never done it before? Of course not. There is a first time for everything. You can’t make it until you make it. You just have to start.

So. To build your possibility, you want to go to your future. Go to the place where you have the $10,000. You did it. You met your goal and you have the money.

Spend some time here feeling what that is like. Every week when you tally up your sales you enter them into your spreadsheet and this week you notice the balance for the year.

It’s just over $10,000. You did it.

What does that feel like?

For me, when I think about this, I feel certain. It’s almost not even a surprise. I’m not as excited as I was when I first thought about making $10k because by now I already knew it was going to happen. It’s like I arrived there before I arrived there.

What’s it like for you?

When you get this feeling of certainty, you have reached the third stage of belief.

The only way to make something inevitable is to keep believing it’s possible. When you keep believing it’s possible, you will do the things you need to do to make it inevitable.

But you have to believe. You have to believe hard enough to make your goal inevitable. Because what’s going to happen is you are going to fall back into impossibility every day.

Every time you do something to work towards your goal, it’s going to feel hard. You’re not going to want to do it. Your brain is going to come up with a million reasons why it’s better to not do it.

But if you really want it, you have to be on to yourself. Keep that awareness. Keep telling yourself that it is possible. Keep telling yourself that people like you can make money. Keep thinking about what that day will be like when you have the money.

Remember, a belief is a thought you keep thinking over and over. If you want to believe you can make the $10 grand, you have to think you can every day.

And when you spend more days in inevitability, that is when you will achieve your goal.

Okay friends!

Leave a comment and let me know what your goal is and what stage of belief you are in. I believe our dreams are the maps to our destinies, so do not brush of your dreams!

They are important and they matter. If you do nothing about them, they will come back and nag at you. LISTEN to them. Listen to you.

Have an amazing week.
